Did you know the Kardashians didn’t really live in the villa-style home featured in Keeping Up With the Kardashians?

They actually never lived there. The house is only used to set the scene for the reality show, which debuted in 2007. The Kardashians didn’t live in their “home” due to security reasons.

Kim explained on Twitter, “My old home in Beverly Hills was really my home & I would get people showing up at all hours ringing my gate & had to call the police on several occasions. People hopping the gate & scaring me.”

She continued, “It was so unsafe. The Hollywood star tours would stop by too, [because] they recognized my home from our show. After that we realized how unsafe it is to show the exterior of our homes. So now we use different homes for the outside for security purposes. When we film inside, that’s obviously our real home.”

The house has also been featured in numerous other TV series, including HBO’s True Blood and Entourage.

The 7,800 square foot home, referred to as the “Palazza dei Sogni,” meaning “Place of Dreams.”

Well, you can now become the proud owner of the mansion for only $8.995 million!

According to Los Angeles Times’ Hot Property, the home and its 1 acre property is now for sale.

Located in Studio City, in a gated community, of course, your neighbors will include Miley Cyrus and George Clooney. The house was built in 1983, was remodeled in 2005, with extensive modifications including bedroom-sized bedrooms, a media room with a 12-foot TV, and plenty of gorgeous stone accents.

The home consists of seven bedrooms, eight bedrooms, a billiard room, a pool, chandeliers, a giant cupid statue, and a wine cellar that holds up to 2,000 bottles of wine.

In 2014, the home was listed for sale at $6.25 million but was taken off the market. It was last sold in 2005 for $5.225 million.
