The Newest, Weirdest Tattoo Trend

With all the types of ear piercings out there today, it’s no secret that there are a million different ways you can deck out your ears. But the latest tattoo trend (for your ears!), first seen on Instagram, is drawing the attention of millions.

Helix tattoos are all the rage right now. These minimalistic, delicate designs are tatted on to the cartilage of your ear, giving the appearance of an ear cuff or ring. Even those who aren’t fans of tattoos are sure to fall in love with these dainty tats.

The helix is the thin curved outer part of the ear that people are jazzing up with all sorts of designs, from flowers to simple minimalistic lines. According to Yahoo Style, the trend has blown up thanks to tattoo artist Zihee.

Zihee posts beautiful pictures of her nature-inspired tats and currently has over 90,000 followers on Instagram. An artist from Seoul, Zihee’s style doesn’t fit into any specific category and fans are losing it over her simple yet beautiful, vibrant designs.

Her designs have hints of a watercolor-like style with hints of a traditional style mixed in. Most of her work seems to be very delicate and placed in a discrete areas, which makes sense when you take into account the fact that South Korea still frowns upon tattoos.

Besides the fact that these tattoos look super cute and chic, you’ll never have to worry about losing an earring again!

Brooklyn’s Fourth Annual Curlfest Celebrates Natural Beauty

This past Saturday at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, New York, #BlackGirlMagic was abound!

Thousands of black women attended the fourth annual Curlfest, which is the country’s largest natural beauty festival.

And these women have some serious style. Check out some of our favorite looks below – from waist-length braids to crowns to ornamental butterflies.

The annual festival is sponsored by the five women of Curly Girl Collective. Curly Group Collective is a marketing group specializing in multicultural beauty. Their goal is to celebrate women all around the world by appreciating their natural looks.

Tracey Coleman, the director of events at Curlfest, stated in a press conference, “Curlfest was founded on the idea of you all needing to be celebrated. If you look around, and you see images of beauty, they don’t necessarily look like us.”

When Coleman was asked about the natural hair movement, she said, “The great thing about the movement now is that barrier is being broken down; there’s no good hair and there’s no bad hair. Healthy hair is what’s good, so that’s what we’re here to promote.”

You Can Now Buy Rihanna’s Newest Releases From Her Fenty PUMA 2017 Collection

Not so long after Rihanna’s last shoe release, she’s back to with another drop from her Fenty PUMA 2017 spring/summer collection.

The collection, inspired by Marie Antoinette, ranges from headwear to sneakers to cozy apparel. At Paris Fashion Night back in March, Rihanna first presented her collection at the Bibliotheque National de France.

Before the show, Rihanna explained why the collection is her favorite yet. “There’s a lot of simple things and then a lot of complicated, more exaggerated pieces that combine really well together,” she said. “That’s my favorite thing to do. I’ve never been in love with a collection more than this one.”

As far as clothing goes, Rihanna has released three slim-fit Sleeveless Cropped Crew Necks which are sure to be a hit as the weather continues to warm up.

“When I was in school, it was always my dream to be able to dress up in whatever I wanted,” she said in a statement. “But in Barbados it was mandatory to wear a school uniform, so I had so much fun this season creating these back-to-school inspired looks, and I’m honored to present the collection in such a majestic national monument.”

She’s also created a lineup of satin caps, front-lacing hoodies, hockey tees, ruffle backpacks, and even an embroidered lace durag.

Priced at around €44 to 68 EUR, Rihanna’s new gear is now available through select retailers.

Rihanna described the collection’s style by saying, “as if Marie Antoinette went to the gym!” Pastel streetwear with embellishments like bows make up the bulk of the collection.

Rihanna’s New Makeup Line Will Be Released This September

When Rihanna announced her own makeup line, Fenty Beauty, last year, fans were pretty pumped.

The new makeup line is a collaboration with the Kendo division of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the company which also owns Sephora.

Fenty Beauty’s official drop date is scheduled for this fall, according to a series of viral posts on Rihanna’s social media channels. This is the first update since February, when Fenty put out a casting call for makeup artists.

Rihanna also has made an appearance of Fenty PUMA’s Instagram page, expressing how exciting she is for the collection in a video clip.

“As you guys may have heard already, I am working on creating a beauty line, Fenty Beauty, and I can’t wait for you guys to see what I’ve been working on,” she says in the clip. “I’m super excited about it.”

The first Fenty PUMA product to be revealed on Instagram was a holographic lip color Rihanna sported at the spring 2017 runway show.

While an exact date for the collection’s release has not yet been announced, we can expect to first see it around September. Unfortunately, Rihanna’s new line will not be available in her native country of Barbados.

With a tagline like “the new generation of beauty,” we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the star’s latest collection!

Last April, luxury cooperation LVMH signed Rihanna to develop the line for a whopping $10 million. The line will be developed with Kendo, who is the original private label development department of Sephora. Kendo is additionally behind Marc Jacobs Beauty and Kat Von D Beauty.

With seven fragrances already under her belt, as well as several MAC collections, Rihanna’s bound to have another huge success on her hands with the Fenty Puma 2017 collection.
