With “deep regret” Kamala Harris suspended her presidential campaign and resigned from the race on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. She has been losing ground in the last couple of months and has not made any gains in the polls. Harris made the announcement via social media, with a post not only on Twitter, but also Instagram.
“To my supporters, it is with deep regret—but also with deep gratitude—that I am suspending my campaign today.
But I want to be clear with you: I will keep fighting every day for what this campaign has been about. Justice for the People. All the people.”
She linked the posts to the following announcement article, written by Senator Harris, herself:

Senator Harris followed up the announcement with a playful post that shows that she is still in great spirits. She published a post of her and a tiny potential presidential candidate conversing in playful banter, and pinned it to the top of her Twitter account!
