Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey, tweeted an announcement of a charitable partnership with Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation for the donation of $15m as a Coronavirus relief fund.
Mental health, food distribution, economic assistance and health equity are the focus areas of the contribution. A statement from the Clara Lionel Foundation reads, “These funds are supporting communities of color, low-income households, LGBTQ youth, at-risk students out of school and others amidst the reality that racial inequity on top of the pandemic is compounding this public health emergency.”

The duo have been showing different forms of support during the pandemic. Two weeks ago, Rihanna halted all sales for make-up brand, FENTY BEAUTY in observance of #BlackOutTuesday to bring awareness to the Black Lives Matter movement. Also, in April, Dorsey announced a donation of $1b of his equity in his digital payments service, Square to fund global COVID-19 relief.
