It’s Friday!!! And you know what that means?! It’s new movie release day (among other things), and we’ve got some good ones picked out for you. Firstly, we’ll go through our picks for a traditional night out at the movies. Then, we’ll dive into our picks for a binge watching session on the couch (or in bed)!

So, let’s get into it.

Our Picks For A Night Out At The Movies!

1. Thor: Love And Thunder

We have to admit, we haven’t actually seen it yet (we plan to hit it up this weekend, though), but we are so pumped for it! If you’re a fan of the Marvel franchise, Thor probably is one of your favorite characters. At least that’s true for us. We’re committed to the MU (Marvel Universe, for those who may not know that abbreviation) – so we’ll pretty much see any and all of their movies. But, we will say this:  we were NOT into the second Dr. Strange movie, it was a little too strange for us. It was the first real dud for us, in our opinion. But we expect Thor: Love and Thunder to be exactly the opposite. We can’t wait to see it, and it is definitely top on our list!

2. Top Gun: Maverick

Okay, the ONLY (and we mean ONLY) reason this is in the number two spot is because we saw it last week, and it’s been out long enough to not be a new release this week, or even this month. It came out on May 27, and basically started the entire summer Blockbuster season for a great time at the movies. If you haven’t seen it yet, we WHOLEHEARTEDLY recommend it. And if you are thinking it might be a good date night movie, we ABSOLUTELY agree with you. This is a good time for EVERYONE. But, if you haven’t seen the first Top Gun, we recommend that you watch it first. If you care about movies in ANY way, do yourself a favor and watch the first one, first, even if you’ve already seen it. It’s a classic.

3. Jurassic World: Dominion

Again, this is another one on our list that we haven’t seen yet. But, even though SOME critics are pretty critical of this movie, we are going with the audience viewers on this one. The box office numbers and movie goers all point to the fact that this is a fantastic time at the movies. We can’t wait to join in and see this one. But since we’re seeing Thor: Love And Thunder first, we had to put the film starring Chris Pratt in the number three spot. Sorry, Chris!

Our Top Binge-Watching Picks

1. Only Murders In The Building on Hulu

This is our all-time FAVORITE show right now. We have to admit, we didn’t start getting interested until Selena Gomez hosted SNL, but we are SO glad that we did. It is impeccably produced, has great timing, and the cast is hands down absolutely amazing. The first two episodes of the second season just came out on Hulu on June 28. The rest will drop each Tuesday, until the final episode. So, if you’re a binge watcher, we recommend letting them pile up, and watching a bunch at a time. If not, dive right in and join the rest of us!

2. The Bear on Hulu

We stumbled upon this one because of the main character, Jeremy Allen White. We absolutely LOVE him from Shameless on Showtime. For us, this was an unexpected gem, but decide for yourself!

3. The Terminal List

We love everything Chris Pratt, but this may be a little off-brand for him. Think Jack Ryan. This may not be for everyone. Critics rated this 42% rotten, but the audience rated it 95% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. We saw it this past weekend, and loved it. You’ll have to decide for yourself, but here’s the trailer to help you see if you’re into it.

Tune in for our next edition to see what else we’re looking forward to and  watching this summer.
