Selena Gomez is really elevating her brand professionally, outside of her acting and singing career. She has sprung into not only the beauty space with her own brand Rare Beauty, but is also sparkling all the way through with a multimedia company. She founded the company, Wondermind, with her mom, Mandy Teefey, and Newslette founder Daniella Pierson. They are striving to change the way we view sensitive topics like mental health, depression, addiction and suicide within the media. And with the help of Serena Williams, Wondermind was able to get a $100 million valuation. Through her venture capital firm, Serena Ventures, Williams led an early round of funding for the company. To add, Serena invested $5 million as well.
In addition to helping to create content and participate in any way that is needed, Serena will be involved in helping to promote the company – . As Serena steps away from tennis after this year’s US Open, she will be focusing on more opportunities off the court. Her Serena Ventures company is driving many of those decisions and to-date, she has received $100 million in funding.
