Naomi Campbell is showing us her beauty routine — in just 10 minutes.
Sharing her skincare products and make-up tips, Campbell breaks down her guide to glowing skin in an episode of Vogue‘s Beauty Secrets series released yesterday.
Tools and products set, she begins, “I always use zinc,” as she sprays the La Roche Posay Serozinc Face Mist on her face. The next step is to work a dermaroller all over your facial area. In between ows and ouches, she clarifies that hers are from the doctor with much longer needles than the regular rollers. “Don’t go too close to under the eyes”, Campbell warns.
She massages a mixture of serum, Vitamin E Oil, Hyaluronic acid and Vitamin C Powder as she recalls the past saying, “I’ve been taking care of my skin since I was a child because my mother always told me I had to moisturize.”
“We always forget about the neck and we mustn’t,” Campbell reminds us.
Having wrapped up with skincare, the next stage of her beauty routine involves make-up. Starting with concealer, she demonstrates how she uses multiple shades of concealer “because dark skin is that way—you can’t use one color all over.”
Eyebrows are the immediate step but Campbell confesses, “I’m really bad at eyebrows…if you get it wrong, it can be a disaster for your whole face.” She picks her spoolie and lightly brushes her brows leaving them like that.
Contouring with Nars’ Gienah Contour Blush Duo Set, the model targets her cheekbones and jawline and mildly uses it as an eyeshadow base. She displays her two favorite highlighters and selects a glittery shade from Pat McGrath Labs’ Sublime Skin Highlighting Trio set to highlight her nose bridge and cheekbones.
Remembering earlier modelling times, she revealed, “When I was younger, I had so much makeup on because I thought I needed all this makeup and that was how a model should be. It was all in my mind. I was thinking I had to cover every inch of my skin. Anyway, things have changed.”
Opting for a matte and sparkly eyeshadow look, she switches between colors from Pat McGrath Labs Mothership VII Eyeshadow Palette. Campbell applies blush and for her lips, uses a Pat McGrath Labs Permagel Ultra Lip Pencil and Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance Lipstick in Omi.
As the final touch, she softly rubs her cream highlighter on her cheeks and dabs it in gently.
She said, “For me, when I’m doing makeup, I’m playing at the same time. “
