Ahoy, Mateys! Margot Robbie Will Star in Female-Led Pirates of the Caribbean Movie

Do ye know that Margot Robbie will star in a female-led Pirates of the Carribean movie?

The new movie will be written by Birds of Prey screenwriter, Christina Hodson, also known for the Transformers spinoff Bumblebee and t DC superhero projects The Flash, (which recently has Micheal Keaton reprising his role of Batman) and Batgirl.

The Australian actress recently featured in Bombshell and Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood, and Robbie will be reprising her role of 'Harley Quinn' in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad sequel.

The female-led project is distinct from the upcoming Pirates of the Carribean reboot and will not be a spin-off but a completely original story.

According to The Hollywood Reporter,  long time Pirates producer Jerry Bruckheimer will be producing both projects.
