Broadway's biggest night has a date, a host, and a nominee list long enough to make your jaw drop. The 79th Tony Awards will take place on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Radio City Music Hall — and according to Vogue, the evening is already shaping up to be one for the books.

Leading the charge is Pink, who will host the main telecast on CBS (streaming on Paramount+) starting at 8 p.m. ET. "It is the honor of an entire lifetime," she said in a statement, citing Broadway's direct influence on how she constructs her own shows. It's an unconventional pick that makes complete sense — Pink's stage productions are famously theatrical, and her genuine reverence for the craft reads. Before the main event, Laura Benanti and Tituss Burgess will co-host The Tony Awards: Act One, a live pre-show on Pluto TV from 6:35 to 8 p.m. ET.

The Nominations: Who's In the Running

Uzo Aduba and Darren Criss announced this year's nominees, and the field is stacked. Best Musical contenders include The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon!, Titaníque, and Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York). The Best Musical Revival category pits Cats: The Jellicle Ball, Ragtime, and The Rocky Horror Show against each other — all three will perform during the ceremony, alongside all four Best Musical nominees. On the play side, Best Play nominees include The Balusters, Giant, Liberation, and Little Bear Ridge Road, while the Best Revival of a Play slate features heavy hitters like Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman and Oedipus.

The acting categories are similarly loaded. Nathan Lane, John Lithgow, and Daniel Radcliffe face off for Best Actor in a Play. Best Actress in a Play brings Rose Byrne, Carrie Coon, Lesley Manville, and Kelli O'Hara into the same conversation — a category that could genuinely go any direction. On the musical side, Stephanie Hsu and Caissie Levy are among the Best Actress in a Musical nominees, while Joshua Henry and Luke Evans compete for the leading actor prize. The ceremony will also honor André Bishop, Jules Fisher, and James Lapine with Special Tony Awards for Lifetime Achievement.

June 7 can't come fast enough — this year's Tonys have all the ingredients of a genuinely unpredictable, electric night.
