A helping hand

Lisa’s Sheer Met Gala Veil Is Held Up By a Third Arm

Reported by Harper's Bazaar.

Lisa didn't just dress for the Met Gala's "Fashion Is Art" theme — she became the art. The BLACKPINK star and 2026 host committee member arrived on the carpet in a look that stopped traffic: a semi-sheer white sequined gown complete with a floor-length matching veil held aloft by two mannequin arms extending from her shoulder. The sculptural prosthetics were adorned with Bulgari jewelry, while Lisa accessorized herself with a blue necklace that mirrored her eyeshadow. It was conceptual, committed, and — let's be honest — kind of genius.

From Blue Carpet to Main Stage

According to Harper's Bazaar, Lisa was one of several high-profile host committee members, joining Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Alex Consani, Misty Copeland, Elizabeth Debicki, and Lena Dunham, among others. Co-chairs for the evening — which celebrated the Costume Institute's new exhibit, "Costume Art" — were Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams. The guest list alone read like a cultural flush hand.

Lisa's spring has been relentless in the best way. She recently surfaced at Coachella for a surprise appearance on the main stage alongside producer Anyma, performing their new collaboration "Bad Angel" — a moment that had the crowd collectively losing its mind. The kind of low-key flex only a pop star operating at full altitude can pull off.

This is only her second Met appearance. Last year's debut — for "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" — saw her in a pantless Louis Vuitton look featuring a semi-sheer sequined blazer with artist Henry Taylor's portraiture woven directly into the fabric, paired with monogram tights and a sharp updo. Two Met Galas in, and Lisa has established herself as someone who doesn't just dress for a theme but interrogates it.

When fashion is the art form and your accessory literally has extra hands, you're not just attending the party — you're the installation.
