Myha'la has never been subtle about her Y2K allegiances — the skinny brows alone are a thesis statement. But at last night's third annual Gotham Television Awards, she didn't just nod to the early aughts. She committed fully, head to Ballet Slipper-pedicured toe.

Styled by Britt Mccamey, the Industry star arrived in a silver strapless Gucci dress from the brand's spring-summer 2004 collection — floral, keyhole-detailed, feather-trimmed, and completely unambiguous in its references. The archival pull was intentional and precise. Presenting the outstanding supporting performance in a drama series prize alongside Grace Gummer, Myha'la looked less like someone wearing a vintage dress and more like someone who understood exactly what that dress was saying.

The Beauty Was Just as Deliberate

Makeup artist Shyanna Lundi built the face around a frosty lavender eyeshadow — the kind of icy, shimmery lid that defined red carpets circa 2003 and is currently staging a very convincing comeback. Against Myha'la's signature ultra-plucked brows, the look locked into its era without feeling costumey. A high-gloss lip sealed it, mirroring — not coincidentally, according to Vogue — the exact glossy mouth that closed the Gucci 2004 runway. Hairstylist Dre Demry-Sanders kept the braids loose and long, which was the right call: anything more structured would have competed with a look that was already doing a lot of precise, beautiful work.

Off the carpet, Myha'la found her people. She linked up with Kerry Washington, who took home the evening's Spotlight Tribute, and posed with Love Story actor Sarah Pidgeon — both moments landing on her Instagram with the energy of someone genuinely having a good night rather than just logging appearances.

The real takeaway here isn't that frosted lavender is back — it's that the women who wear it best are the ones who never needed a trend cycle to tell them it was worth revisiting.
