Hunter Schafer Debuts Fresh-Off-the-Runway Prada at Comic Con
The star promoted her new miniseries “Blade Runner 2099” wearing a look that only just went down the runway in Milan.

New York Comic Con is not traditionally where fashion history gets made — but Hunter Schafer has never been interested in doing things the traditional way. The Euphoria star arrived at the Javits Center this weekend for a panel promoting Prime Video's upcoming miniseries Blade Runner 2099, alongside cast members Michelle Yeoh, Matthew Needham, and Dimitri Abold. What she wore, however, overshadowed pretty much everything else.
According to Vogue, Schafer and her stylist Dara Allen pulled look 35 from Prada's spring 2027 runway — a graphic pink and black pencil skirt paired with a minty green and black tube top, styled with patent mule stilettos, exactly as Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons sent it down the Milan runway just weeks ago. The collection had already caused a stir in the fashion world, particularly for its sharp, color-blocked skirts. Schafer got to one before most editors had finished filing their reviews.
The Prada Girl Advantage
There's a particular kind of power that comes with being a house favorite, and Schafer has been building her relationship with Prada long enough that early access to the season's most-coveted pieces is simply a given. The look read effortlessly '90s — pencil skirt, strapless top, killer heel — but with that specific Prada tension between intellectual and sexy that makes the brand impossible to ignore. It wasn't styled to death. It didn't need to be.
This isn't Schafer's first Comic Con fashion moment — she wore Marc Jacobs to San Diego's iteration earlier this year — but there's something especially sharp about debuting fresh runway at a fan convention. It collapses the distance between high fashion and pop culture in a way that feels genuinely modern rather than calculated. She wasn't on a red carpet. She was at a panel. And she still looked like the best-dressed person in any room she might have wandered into.
Stars pull pre-release runway looks for press tours all the time, but getting first dibs on the show of the season is a different category of coup entirely — and proof that when the relationship is real, the fashion follows.
