Leighton Meester and Chace Crawford Reunite in Los Angeles 14 Years After Gossip Girl Wrapped
XOXO, Gossip Girl

Reported by Harper's Bazaar.
Nothing says "we peaked in 2007" like running into your old co-star at a fancy dinner party—except when that co-star is Leighton Meester and the nostalgia hits different. The actor showed up to the Falconeri dinner at Getty House in Los Angeles this week, where she crossed paths with Chace Crawford, her on-screen love interest from Gossip Girl's iconic run. Fourteen years after the CW drama wrapped in 2012, they stopped for photos together, and yes, the internet immediately had feelings about it.
Meester arrived solo (her husband Adam Brody, also a CW veteran, apparently sat this one out) in a studied-casual fit: a fitted black long-sleeve sweater paired with a satin maxi skirt, pointed-toe heels, and minimal jewelry. Crawford, attending with model girlfriend Kelsey Merritt, leaned into quiet luxury with a taupe pinstripe blazer layered over a matching crewneck, a sweatshirt draped casually over his shoulders, and white sneakers. Both looked like they'd aged in dog years—which is to say, barely at all, and with considerably more money.
The Gossip Girl Reunion Circuit Is Officially Open
This wasn't exactly a surprise encounter. Cast members from the show have been quietly reuniting on the press circuit for years now. Penn Badgley, who played Dan Humphrey, has invited several former co-stars onto his PodCrushed podcast, including both Meester and Crawford, plus Taylor Momsen (Badgley's on-screen sister Jenny Humphrey). The podcast appearances have become the modern equivalent of "remember when" conversations, except with better production value and sponsorship deals.
Still, there's something satisfying about seeing these actors actually together in candid moments—a reminder that whatever magic made that show compulsively watchable wasn't entirely fictional chemistry. Whether the rest of the ensemble cast will eventually join a full-blown reunion remains to be seen, but based on this week's sighting, the appetite is definitely there. Sometimes the best fashion moment is simply showing up and looking like your best self, 14 years later.
